The Field of Honor in front of Keller Town Hall will remain for another week to honor Barker’s life.

DALLAS — Keller Mayor Armin Mizani has identified one of the victims of the deadly Dallas air show crash as former Keller City Councilman Terry Barker.Barker was an Army veteran as well as a pilot for American Airlines. According to Mayor Mizani, Barker was flying on Saturday to honor “the greatest generation.”Keller is located just 30 miles northwest of Dallas.

The deadly crash that claimed Barker’s life along with five others took place Saturday during the Wings over Dallas show. A World War II-era bomber and fighter plane collided midair and crashed into the ground in flames. The National Transportation and Safety Board and FAA are currently the incident. A preliminary report is expected from the NTSB in four to six weeks. The final report may take up to 18 months.
