Minneapolis police officer Tou Thao responded on May 25 to the scene where officers Thomas Lane and J. Alexander Kueng were trying to detain Floyd for allegedly attempting to cash a phony bill.Floyd was later restrained on the ground. While Thao stood nearby, Lane, Kueng and officer Derek Chauvin kept Floyd pinned to the ground while Floyd pleaded with officers that he couldn't breathe.Floyd died and the four officers have been charged.
