The mixed-use development plans to partner with up to 12 small business owners to create brick-and-mortar storefronts.
Sundance Square, the 37-square-block mixed-use development that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually to downtown Fort Worth, is searching for what it’s calling “the next big idea.”
Sundance Square spokesman Bryan Eppstein said the idea grew out of the pandemic-related closure of stores operated by national retailers. An idea was formed to create spaces for local entrepreneurs to start their own businesses. Sundance Square brings in shoppers from all over for a variety of events, Eppstein said. He said the square’s annual arts festival can draw nearly 250,000 people.
