Apple TV+ has released the Foundation Season 2 trailer for the forthcoming return of its sci-fi drama, starring Lee Pace and Jared Harris.
“More than a century after the season one finale, tension mounts throughout the galaxy in Foundation season two,” reads the synopsis. “As the Cleons unravel, a vengeful queen plots to destroy Empire from within. Hari, Gaal, and Salvor discover a colony of Mentalics with psionic abilities that threaten to alter psychohistory itself. The Foundation has entered its religious phase, promulgating the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second Crisis: war with Empire.
The series stars Jared Harris as Hari Seldon and Lee Pace as Brother Day along with Lou Llobell as Gaal Dornick, Leah Harvey as Salvor Hardin, Laura Birn as Demerzel, Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk, Cassian Bilton as Brother Dawn, and Alfred Enoch as Raych. Joining them in Season 2 are Holt McCallany, Ben Daniels, Rachel House, Isabella Laughland, Mikael Persbrandt, Kulvinder Ghir, Sandra Yi Sencindiver, Ella-Rae Smith, Dimitri Leonidas, and Nimrat Kaur.
Foundation is executive produced by Robyn Asimov, Josh Friedman, Cameron Welsh, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Bill Bost.
