BEREA, Ohio – Two Berea-Midpark High School pupils were cited – and they and two other Berea-Midpark pupils were suspended – after police caught them with liquor, tobacco and marijuana outside the school.
Police received a separate tip that the pupil was supplying other pupils with nicotine and vape products containing THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. Three other boys were in the car. Police told the boys the car smelled like marijuana. The 16-year-old said he disagreed with that “opinion.” Police summoned Berea-Midpark school administrators to the parking lot. They searched the car, which is allowed under school policy, and found a half-empty bottle of peach margarita wine cocktail, four packs of cigarillos, five packs of marijuana rolling papers, three nicotine vape pens, a burned marijuana roach, two THC vape pens, five used THC vape cartridges, an open pack of THC gummies, four lighters and two pocketknives.
