Ohio State has secured the commitment of a top-100 prospect in the 2025 class, four-star cornerback Blake Woodby.
The Buckeyes landed their first defensive recruit of the 2025 cycle on Saturday with the commitment of four-star Maryland cornerbackWoodby chose the Buckeyes over other finalists Oregon, Alabama, Clemson and Tennessee. Ohio State received the final visit from Woodby before his commitment and showed him enough on his trip to Columbus for the Maryland game on Oct. 7 to secure his commitment. He's expected to return to OSU for the Buckeyes' game against Penn State next week.

It means the world.”The Top 100 Recruit in the 25 Class chose the Buckeyes over Oregon, Tennessee, Clemson, & AlabamaSt. Frances Academy has long been considered a prep football powerhouse on the East Coast, and Woodby is the first SFA player ever to commit to Ohio State.
Woodby grew up watching and admiring former Ohio State standout Marshon Lattimore and tries to incorporate parts of his game into his own.
