A RESCUE operation is underway after a cargo ship crashed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge, sending it plummeting into the water.
Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olsezewski, Jr has shared his prayers for those impacted by today's incident. "I’m also in contact w/ the Mayor of Baltimore and the Anne Arundel Co. Exec. Rescue efforts are underway.I am aware of the situation at the Key Bridge and remain in regular communication with my Fire Chief and Director of Emergency Operations.The bridge, which spans across the Patapsco River, was named after the writer of the national anthem.
