An urgent search is underway for 57-year-old Michelle Conroy who was last seen in the Rutherglen area. Her family's concern grows following no contact from her - describing her disappearance as 'extremely unusual'.
Michelle Conroy was last seen at around 4pm on Saturday, May 18, on Mossgiel Avenue in Rutherglen. Police say the 57-year-old has never gone missing before as her family's concern grows.
She is described as around 5ft 1in tall, with a slim build and fair shoulder length hair. Michelle was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, pink jogging trousers and a pink jumper draped over her shoulders. Police Scotland have recently had one confirmed sighting of Michelle at around 5.55pm yesterday evening on Queen's Drive in the Queen's Park area of Glasgow.READ MORE: Glasgow street remains closed after man stabbed outside bookmakerExtensive enquiries have been carried out and officers are continuing to review any relevant CCTV in the hope that it provides additional information about Michelle and where she may have gone.
Inspector Liam Byrson said: "It is extremely unusual for Michelle not to be in touch with her family and friends and as there has been no contact from her, they are understandably concerned. I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Michelle or who may have information on her whereabouts to get in touch with us."
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 4156 of 18 May, 2024.
