Fred is expected to make landfall on the Gulf Coast somewhere from Alabama to the western Florida Panhandle late Monday night into early Tuesday. Bands of rain and gusty winds will precede that landfall into Monday.Forecast ImpactsHeavy rainfall is likely to be the main impact that Fred will bring to the northern Gulf Coast and other areas farther inland over the Southeast. Rainfall in locations farther inland will be enhanced by a frontal boundary in place over the region.
