A mother who managed to drop an astonishing six dress sizes after losing over five stone has revealed her weight loss secrets.
Weighing in at 14st 11lbs, the mother-of-two was wearing size 20 clothes when she first joined the weight loss group. However, by adhering to a diet plan and incorporating exercise into her routine, Helen, from Salford, now weighs just 9st 5lbs and fits comfortably into size 8 clothing a total loss of 5st 6lbs, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Helen admits she had a penchant for snacking on junk food, including chocolate, and rarely cooked anything from scratch. Most of her meals were accompanied by chips and vegetables were noticeably absent.But as soon as she started following her diet plan, the weight began to "drop off", and she also discovered a love for new foods she had never tried before. "I had always enjoyed cooking, but adding variety into my diet was a complete game changer," she explained.
Reflecting on her journey, Helen admits she never felt miserable about her size but now recognises she was unhappy. "Looking back, I can see how unhappy and lonely I was," she remarked. "Joining Slimming World and losing weight has given me a major confidence boost. The friends I have made through staying with the group have changed my life for the better. It's part of what has made my journey so successful.
