Fringe comedian punched by drunk woman during show left in hospital with stitches
Stand-Up comic The 40-year-old, from Carluke, Lanarkshire, ended up in hospital having his mouth stitched after the incident at his Edinburgh Fringe show on Friday night.
The funnyman who is performing Painspotting at Leith Depot during the Festival, had just come off stage when the altercation occurred. He said: “There was blood everywhere. To say I was stunned is an understatement. I didn’t know what to do.” “It’s ironic that over the years I’ve moved people to tears with laughter - it’s a first that I’m the one who’s crying. The staff at Leith Dept were just incredible.”
