The U.S. Marshals Office released images depicting how Vicky White might look if she dyed or cut her distinctive bright blond hair.
The SUV that a fugitive inmate and a jailer drove away from an Alabama town has been found in Tennessee. The Ford Edge used by Casey White and Vicky White was found in Bethesda, on the southern outskirts of Nashville and about 100 miles from Florence, Ala., where the pair had last been seen at the jailhouse on Friday, April 29.
Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton said at a press conference Friday that the car was found at the side of a rural road off Interstate 65 and towed on the day of the escape. Authorities in Tennessee didn’t initially realize until Thursday it was the vehicle sought in the escape. Last Friday, Vicky White told her coworkers that Casey White needed to go to the courthouse for a mental health evaluation. She was escorting him alone — a violation of the sheriff’s office policy. When she did not answer her phone or return in the afternoon, authorities realized the pair had gone missing. Authorities eventually learned that the evaluation was never scheduled and was just a charade to allow Vicky White to take Casey White out of the jail without suspicion.
