Temperatures will begin to rise this week after a chilly start to Spring
According to Met Office forecasters, today will feel 'somewhat warmer than over the weekend' with the mercury reaching highs of around 13C in our region. Largely cloudy conditions are forecast for today, though some light rain showers may fall across parts of Greater Manchester this afternoon.
Temperatures will start to warm up significantly from Tuesday, with highs of around 18C forecast during the afternoon. It's set to be another mostly cloudy day in our region but feel mild with some sunny intervals expected.Wednesday is predicted to be another largely cloudy day, though it feel warm again with highs of around 17C expected. Through the rest of the week, it is expected to stay fairly warm with the mercury reaching a high of up to 18C most days.
On the general forecast for the North West for today, the Met Office said: "Breezy and showery today but feeling warmer." For tomorrow, forecasters said: "Rather cloudy at first but brightening up with sunny periods. "Perhaps remaining cloudier on western coasts. Breezy but feeling warm in any sunshine. Maximum temperature 17C."
