Dr. Talat Jehan Khan was stabbed to death while sitting at a picnic table outside her Houston area apartment. She had just moved to Texas three months ago.
MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash. — On Thursday afternoon, a longtime western Washington pediatrician was laid to rest. at Masjid Umar Al-Farooq Mosque in Mountlake Terrace before her burial.
"Since Saturday, it has definitely been the hardest time of my life, and it’s been even harder for the kids,” said Nyaz. Her family is also asking for a transparent investigation. They said this is important for the safety of others and important to get justice for Dr. Khan. “She was the most humble person, down to earth, loving, and open to everybody,” said Saqid Khan. Dr. Khan's younger brother. “Everybody could just come up to her and ask questions or ask for guidance and she would be willing to help them out”
