The National Governance Association - which runs training for school governors and trustees - has made the suggestion in its equality and diversity course.
Transgender teachers should be able to use all school bathrooms that align with their newly acquired gender identity, school governors have been told.
The training module states: 'Employees who have undergone gender reassignment or who are transgender must be supported to use all toilet and shower facilities which are available to other members of their newly acquired gender. Ms Forstater said: 'The equality act protects transgender people so that they can't be harassed or discriminated against, such as being denied employment or housing. It doesn't give them an all-access pass to opposite-sex facilities.
