Jones sat on Garland's youth council and ran for its school board twice. Now he’ll host a primetime show on the country’s largest cable news network.
In 2012 when he was 19, he ran for Garland ISD school board as a freshman at the University of North Texas, where he studied criminal justice. After his first unsuccessful campaign, he ran again in 2014 and lost.
After his first campaign, Jones signed on as an undercover operative for Project Veritas, a right-wing activist group known for hidden-camera sting operations that targeted journalists and liberals, where he reported on theIn a news release, Jones said he was “incredibly grateful” for the opportunities the network has provided him.
