Match of the Day host Gary Lineker had little hesitation naming his most complete football player ever as a former Man United hero
Gary Lineker has named former Manchester United captain Bryan Robson as the most complete footballer ever.
However, in Lineker's eyes, the ex-midfielder could have won a lot more particularly on the international stage had he avoided injuries. Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, the legendary striker said: "I would actually go, if we can go all time, Bryan Robson [as the most complete player].READ MORE: Why Lineker has a soft spot for United
"The first corner of the game comes and it is about ten minutes in and Robbo is there so I run back and I stand next to him on the edge of the box," he continued. "Bryan Robson looks at me and he just gives me a look and goes: ‘What you doing?’ And I said: ‘Well I am marking you aren’t I,’ and he just laughed.
"15 minutes later there is another corner and it comes in, the ball and me end up in the back of the net and Bryan Robson had scored. I remember running back to the halfway line and he is just laughing at me.
