A Ribble Valley gastropub has been named the best in the country in the 'pub Oscars'. The Parkers Arms in Newton-In-Bowland was named number one in the highly respected Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs for 2023.
The Unruly Pig in Suffolk, which hosted the ceremony, is sandwiched between the two in second. The awards recognise pubs serving high quality food and the judging panel, which is made up of 100 industry professionals from across the UK to avoid regional bias, were especially impressed with Stosi's passion for using locally-sourced and even foraged produce from within a 30-mile radius, and running a country pub that "welcomes everyone and their dog".
