The California governor shut down rumors — again — that he may run for president in 2024.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom says he won’t make a White House bid in 2024, even if President Joe Biden didn’t seek re-election.
He also gestured to his casual on-camera outfit, which included a baseball cap, adding, “You think this looks like someone running for anything?” Of course, being a governor in a highly populous state like California has been a stepping stone for future presidents over the last 40 years, including Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush as a few recent examples.
