The Labour leader attempts to put an end to the drama over Diane Abbott’s political future Sir Keir Starmer has said Diane Abbott will be able to stand for Labour in the July 4 General Election after days of confusion. It comes after a damaging days-long row over her candidacy, following reports that the veteran MP would be barred from running again.
