George Russell has been asked about the differences he and teammate Lewis Hamilton are experiencing in Mercedes' 2024 F1 car.
Russell was seventh fastest as Hamilton suffered a shock exit in the second part of qualifying and could only set a time good enough for 11th in Melbourne.
After the session, Russell was asked why he is having a different experience to Hamilton in Mercedes’ W15."I can't really comment on Lewis' feeling. Ultimately, we are not quite where we want to be. "From my side, I feel a bit more confidence and consistency with the car. We know we need to improve in the high-speed corners and on this track there are quite a few of those,” Russell added.
Speaking to F1TV, Hamilton conceded: “I don’t know if I’m dealing with that great. I mean, less consistent than George.
