Lane restrictions will be in place all weekend on the bridge's northbound side.
Expect longer-than-usual travel times on Interstate 81 in Harrisburg this weekend while repairs are made to the George Wade Bridge.
Traffic will be restricted to a single lane on the northbound side of the bridge between Route 11/15 and Front Street from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, according to PennDOT. Workers will be making deck spall repairs, PennDOT said. The bridge’s left and center lane will be closed, but the right lane will be open.
“Motorists should watch for slow-moving traffic as they approach the work zone,” PennDOT said in a Friday news release.
