Kenny McLean will provide reliability and a calming influence for Scotland at Euro 2024, according to his former team-mate Stephen O’Donnell.
And now he will be aiming to make more memories with the national side over the coming weeks as part of the 26-man squad competing at the country’s first major tournament appearance on foreign soil since the 1998 World Cup in France. “I think if you look at the number of caps Kenny has, the manager trusts him. Okay, he might not start every game but the manager can lean on him when he needs to see out a game or we need to go for a win because he knows the quality that Kenny has, both defensively and offensively. There is no panic around Kenny being in the team, that’s for sure.”
