Girl, 12, 'traumatised' as dentist carries out five fillings at once despite her only being booked in for one
Leeanne Whittaker took her daughter, 12, to Darwenside Dental Practice on Tuesday 21 March, as she needed a filling. Leeanne's daughter lives with autism and anxiety and was reportedly treated with a lack of empathy during her visit.
"She does get worked up, it sets her anxiety off." However, despite being told she needed six fillings, the dentist only managed to do five before the pair had to leave. Leeanne goes on to state that the dentist's "attitude stunk" and they were "complaining that time was ticking by" as they had "other patients to see." The email added: "She shouldn't be in the profession if she has no empathy for the patient in her chair at the time."
