Michelle Hilling captured the heart-warming moment when a woman burst out into song on the number six bus from the city to East Kilbride on Friday, November 1.

Passengers on a Glasgow bus were left stunned after a woman decided to brighten up their day with an incredible song.

In the video, the lady can be seen singing legendary Native Hawaiian musician Israel Kaʻanoʻi Kamakawiwoʻole's Over the Rainbow. Michelle spoke to Glasgow Live about the moment which left passengers smiling, she said: "She definitely brightened up the bus journey on a cold dark Friday night.

The popular song has been covered by musical legends from around the world, including Scotland's very own Susan Boyle. Other musicians who have turned their hand to the catch tune are Judy Garland, Eva Cassidy, Eric Clapton and Ella Fitzgerald. One comment, which reported to be from the nephew of the woman, identified her as Irene. Another who said they knew the woman, said: "Love listening to her. She sings in a pub. I’ve been in a few times. Lovely woman some voice on her."
