The EZY3111 flight took off at around 12.15pm on Friday, March 29, and began its journey towards the Spanish Island when it was forced to declare an emergency after a hydraulic pump on the aircraft failed.
An EasyJet flight from Glasgow to Gran Canaria was forced to make an emergency landing after developing a 'major fault'.
The plane was forced to land at London Gatwick where it was met by emergency crews. An image of the flight path shared by the FlightAware website showed the airplane had travelled down the west coast of England before it had to head back towards London due to the technical fault.READ MORE: Glasgow is second most desirable city to live in across UK for homebuyers An easyJet spokesperson told the Daily Record: “We can confirm that flight EZY3111 from Glasgow to Gran Canaria diverted to Gatwick due to a technical issue.
