Homeless Project Scotland is calling on members of the public to donate books for Glasgow's homeless community in a bid to give them 'the gift of reading'.
A charity helping those living on the streets across Glasgow have launched an appeal for books which will be handed out to the city's homeless in a bid for them to "escape reality and find solace".
Homeless Project Scotland say that they want to give rough sleepers an oppurtunity to learn through reading - but they need your help to do so. They are calling on book lovers to contribute to the appeal and give the city's homeless "the gift of reading".READ MORE: Young Lanarkshire mum dies weeks after cancer diagnosis as family say 'our world has been ripped apart'HPS wrote on X.
"Many individuals experiencing homelessness do not have access to books, and we want to change that by providing them with an opportunity to explore new worlds, learn new things, and experience the joy of reading."If you have any gently used books that you would like to donate, we would greatly appreciate your contribution. Your donation can make a significant impact on someone's life by bringing the gift of reading to those in need.
"Help us spread the love of reading and make a difference in the lives of the homeless individuals in Glasgow. Together, we can create a more compassionate and literate community.Sign up to our daily Glasgow Live newsletter here to receive news and features direct to your inbox
