Work on two streets in the East End is expected to begin in January, with a contract set to be awarded this week.
Plans to revamp two streets in Glasgow’s East End to make them “more attractive and easier to get around” are set to move forward with the award of an almost £8m contract.
Councillors will be asked to approve handing a £7.95m contract to Rainton Construction Ltd on Thursday. It is running alongside the wider Avenues programme, which is funded by the Glasgow City Region City Deal — a £1bn infrastructure investment from both the UK and Scottish governments.
