Passengers flying from Antalya airport in Turkey and Larnaca Airport in Cyprus to Glasgow say they waited hours with no communication before they were told via text message that TUI had cancelled their flights.
Glasgow holidaymakers claim they were treated like 'cattle' after being left stranded at their Turkey holiday resort in the aftermath of a global IT outage.
The Crowdstrike IT outage caused global disruption across the world forcing flights, banks, businesses and broadcasters offline. Speaking to the Daily Record, the 64-year-old, said her family, including her three young grandchildren, have been 'let down' by the tour operator after experiencing 'horrendous' treatment."The TUI reps dropped us off and left."Several families were left to share rooms with strangers so we all had somewhere to sleep.Pauline claims families were given just 20 minutes by TUI to vacate their hotel yesterday afternoon and change location again.
Andy Anderson was due to fly home on the same flights to Glasgow as the Clements and said he was left waiting at the airport for four hours. He claims TUI staff left 11 families with no support after dropping them at the fully booked hotel. Mum Charlene Mennie faced similar disruption in Cyprus after her family's flight home to Glasgow was cancelled four days ago.Charlene claimed TUI reps failed to keep holidaymakers informed and is now losing out on earnings as she has been unable to return to work.
