A Springburn woman brandished a golf club and shouted “I’ll murder you” at another woman.
Courtney Carrick appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on May 30 after pleading guilty to behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by repeatedly shouting and swearing at the woman, brandishing a golf club and uttering threats of violence, and behaving in an aggressive manner.
The court heard that on December 2, 2023, the woman received a phone call from a child and as a result of this, attended Downs Street to collect them. Whilst doing so Carrick left the close of a property and approached her shouting “What are you going to do?”The 26-year-old brandished it and shouted “I’ll murder you”.While under caution she stated, “Aye I went out with the golf club but I didn’t use it”.Her lawyer told the court that her client was a first-time offender and was"at the end of her tether" at the time of the incident.
