At the reveal of the Sierra HD AT4X AEV Edition, GMC towed a teaser of the future mid-size off-road truck car auto cars
Canyon AT4X, the automaker unveiled the Sierra HD AT4X and the even more hardcore AEV Edition too. At the same time, it towed behind it a totally cloaked mid-size pickup with exposed wheels. We’re not sure why GMC went to the trouble of covering it up since it pretty much told us what it was at the same time.
AEV stands for American Expedition Vehicles, a company that offers “OE-quality off-road parts for recreational driving and overland adventure travel.” It’s working hand in hand with General Motors to offer the aforementionedHD AT4X AEV Edition. We’re pretty certain that the truck you see behind the Sierra is a GMC Canyon AT4X AEV Edition.
GMC was completely mum about the subject which seems a bit silly if you ask me. That’s because while it went to great lengths to cover up the entire body of the truck, it left the wheels and tires uncovered. They’re the same as the one on the Sierra HD AT4X AEV so it would make a lot of sense that this is indeed the Canyon version.
