“Obviously I haven’t played many games so I need to show up to solidify a spot on this team. Getting a couple of opportunities here to play and obviously I want to show what I can do and I felt really good and got lucky on a couple. I worked hard and got the ball in the net, so I was pretty happy with how I played.”
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Walter survived a physical grind Saturday against the Seals, who mounted all sorts of pressure on the Rush’s offence. Walter was the benefactor of some slick passing by teammates like Ryan Keenan, who contributed six assists. Saturday’s game was unreal in terms of physical play, yet Quinlan says it was pretty typical of West Division rivals.
