The Mules scored 302 Monday at White Wing Golf Club in Georgetown. Montgomery and Lake Creek are close behind.New Braunfels Canyon sophomore Presley Bolado and Smithson Valley sophomore Sayers Allen are among the top individual contenders. Bolado fired a 71, which is one shot behind leader Addie Surber of Lake Creek. Allen’s 73 put her in a tie for fourth.
Meanwhile, reigning Class 6A champion Reagan is eight shots behind leader Austin Vandegrift after the first round at Legacy Hills Golf Course in Georgetown.
