This week, Google has given its 2FA app, Google Authenticator, a much-needed overhaul—making it less clunky, and added one potentially handy new tool: the ability to sync your sign-in codes to your Google account and to different phones and tablets.

allows you to generate and store sign-in codes on iPhones and Macs but doesn’t have a stand-alone app.)

For instance, if someone gains access to your Google account, they may also be able to access your 2FA codes for your other online accounts. Google spokesperson Kimberly Samra says “that risk is much smaller than that you lose your device, no longer have your OTPs, and then the service has to use a much weaker mechanism for allowing you to log in.”

App turns smartphones into a 'multi-camera studio' - KRLD NewsApp turns smartphones into a 'multi-camera studio' - KRLD NewsOur App for Tuesday is called Double Take. It's able to take your phone and turn it into a multi-camera studio. The app can shoot video from different cameras on the phone and lets you switch from camera to camera to form a video with different views. The app shows all the pictures that are available from your point of view. If you're doing an interview with someone else, you put the camera in the middle and you can see both people in the video. It comes with a picture-in-picture function that you can move around on your screen. You can also do a split screen, using two of the shots at the same time.
