Practices will use a pregnancy risk assessment to quickly identify women in need of a first prenatal appointment and ensure timely access to appointments and services. Doctors are expected also formally assess their practice’s strengths and patient needs each year to ensure resources and best practices available are used to achieve healthier outcomes, DeWine’s announcement said.
