BREAKING: Government announces anti-strike laws for ‘minimum safety’ levels of staff.
It will impact six different sectors including the health service, rail, education, fire and border security.
Firms will be able to sue unions for damages or have them slapped with an injunction if they refuse to obey the new ‘minimum service levels’, the government said.Train strikes have caused huge disruption to workers in the UK The Trades Union Congress has vowed to fight the Bill though the courts as it could be blocked in the House of Lords.
The Bill will include Health, education, fire and rescue and transport services, border security, and decommissioning of nuclear installations and management of radioactive waste and spent fuel.
