The “waking watch” will see a team of fire safety experts patrol the grounds in order to alert residents if a fire does break out
The Scottish Government has stepped in to organise 24-hour-a-day patrols at a Glasgow apartment complex after a report highlighted fire safety issues at the site.
The Scottish Government refused to say how much the patrols are costing, citing commercial confidentiality. This was passed to the developers, with urgent negotiations taking place between them and Scottish Government officials since then.
