Pensioner Iris Jones said she spent thousands of pounds on her toyboy husband, and is not getting any of it back.
A gran who married a Egyptian toy boy has said she "let her head rule her heart" after spending thousands of pounds to clear his debts.
But Iris reportedly throw her lover out of her home near Weston-super-Mare and replacing her affections in him with beloved her cat Mr. Tibbs this summer. Despite him living in Cairo, Egypt, Iris said she fell for Mohamed instantly at the time they first made contact online. The couple exchanged messages back in November 2019 and it wasn't long until Iris decided to meet in Mohamed in real life. Iris said: "He sent me photos of himself and I told him: 'You will soon find someone else, a good looking chap like yourself!'"
Iris claims that an official at the British Embassy in Cairo even told her to "not give him any money" but unfortunately she didn't listen to his advice. "The second time I went, I took £15,000 and handed it over to him. I didn't want to use my credit card, because of incurring bank charges," she wrote.
