A police officer has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
He was detained on Tuesday in "an immediate response to a report received that day", said Greater Manchester Police . The constable, acting up in the role of temporary sergeant, had been posted to GMP's City of Manchester district, said a force spokeswoman.Meanwhile it has emerged that another GMP officer had been suspended after being arrested in October on suspicion of rape.
