The Hoops next just one point to secure the title after seeing off Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday.
Brendan Rodgers ’ side are on the brink of 12th Scottish Premiership crown in 13 years after their monumental weekend success over Rangers. With a six-point and seven-goal advantage over the Ibrox outfit and just two games remaining, the country’s biggest honour is set to stay in Glasgow’s East End. If Philippe Clement ’s side fail to defeat Dundee at Ibrox tomorrow, the race is officially over.
“We know now that we can win the league in that game, so the focus is on going there to try to win, at a difficult venue against a team who have done really well this season.” Taylor is a former Killie player, but that doesn’t put extra store on the contest on a personal level. He explained: “I don’t think it’s of much significance to me, honestly. I had an amazing time at Kilmarnock and I’m really grateful to the club, but I’m a Celtic player now and I really want to win for this club more than anything.”
But, when Taylor was asked if it would be one of his most-satisfying triumphs, he said: “‘If’ is the key word because there is still football to be played. But I wouldn’t say it would feel any better. Winning trophies is the best feeling in the world, and doing it at this club is unbelievable. So, no, I wouldn’t say it’s any more special, it’s just been a bumpier ride.”
