However, at the beginning of 2022, the price was bumped up to £1.05, then again to £1.10 in May. In October 2022, the price went up once more to £1.15, and then it reached £1.20 at the start of 2023. Social media was abuzz with customers commenting on the price changes at Greggs, with one remarking: "Greggs sausage roll prices going up AGAIN? ". Another noted the quiet adjustment in their favourite savoury treat, stating: "Greggs sneakily put their sausage roll prices up by 5p. Mortified."
And another expressed their frustration more broadly: "A good way of measuring inflation is by looking at Greggs' prices. How can a chicken bake now be over £2? ".
