This is the disgusting state a Greater Manchester alleyway has been left in after being targeted by flytippers. Bags of rubbish pile up between Kenworthy Avenue and Kings Road in Ashton, Tameside.
The footage was captured by Sarah last Thursday, shared on Facebook and with the Manchester Evening News. She said the situation was leaving her 'sick to the back teeth' - while properties are becoming 'infested with rats'.Sarah added that 'decent, hardworking, clean, respectful people' are being 'penalised' by the actions of those who dump their rubbish - while council tax payers will be the ones to ultimately pick up the bill.
"With regards to the current waste accumulation, it is being dealt with by Environmental Services and the necessary enforcement action will be taken. It is the responsibility of residents who have access to the alleyway/passageway to maintain them and keep clear of refuse.
