Businesses in part of Grimsby say drains in the area need better maintenance
Businesses in Grimsby have called for improvements to the town's drains to prevent a repeat of flooding.One business owner said flood water came up through the toilet because the drains were "blocked and not maintained".
Some of the businesses along the road had problems because water came up through the drains and into their properties. "They're not having the maintenance anymore. One of the drains, you can't see it's a drain because it's that covered. I will be getting on to the council to see if they'll be doing anything in the future."North East Lincolnshire council said it was aware of flooding following the intense rainfall on 26 May.
