.LoveGwendoline's Emmys look is straight out of King's Landing.
was steeped in history — a little Renaissance fair, a touch of biblical drama, and plenty of Greco-Roman flair to boot. The look was an Alessandro Michele mish-mash that wore its references on its puffed sleeves.
Just as the Michelle Clapton-designed costumes on the HBO hit merged multiple ideas to create historic fantasy, Christie’s epic Gucci gown brought a sense of otherworldly drama to the proceedings. Granted, it’s a world away from anything Brienne of Tarth would wear, but even those still in mourning Season 8 might dry their tears upon seeing Christie decked out in goddess finery.
