Halo show's Master Chief Pablo Schreiber addressed skeptical fans of the video game in a new interview. 'My big message to fans would be, ‘It’s OK. Relax. We got you!’'

Halo star Pablo Schreiber is addressing skeptical video game fans as the new show takes off on streaming. Developed by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane, the military science-fiction series, based on the widely acclaimed and record-breaking video game franchise of the same name, premiered on Paramount+ on March 24, 2022.

Adapting a video game franchise as highly regarded as Halo or Uncharted has been known to present challenges and cast doubt as to how well filmmakers can translate the material. Following its recent debut, reactions towards the television series have been mixed to positive, with many admiring its faithfulness to the source material, though loyal fans may still maintain a level of uncertainty.

"My big message to fans would be, ‘It’s OK. Relax. We got you!’ And that this is a new experience in a world that you love so much and have loved for so long. It’s an opportunity to put down the controller and instead of being a co-owner or creator of this experience, you now get to sit back on the couch and watch this experience unfold."

Fans hoping to get an exact replica of the video games and their means of storytelling may be disappointed in learning that the new show does not act as any form of continuation. However, as Schreiber expressed, this series will dig deeper into the world of Halo. Kane even revealed that the Halo games were not looked at in making the series.

If early reactions from audiences are any indication, fans of the Halo franchise might come to enjoy its direction to start. By, in large part, remaining faithful to its source material, this could be one way to expand Halo's reach and get more viewers interested in its world. With more episodes on the way and a second season already confirmed, fans of the Halo series will have a lot to look forward to.
