Harvey Elliott has dealt Liverpool an injury blow ahead of the return of Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup football
Liverpool could be without Harvey Elliott for up to six weeks after he suffered a fractured foot on England Under-21s duty last week. The Reds midfielder was hurt during a training session and was immediately sent back to the care of his club. Further assessment by the medical team back at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby has now revealed Elliott to have sustained a fracture.
Having cut short his summer holiday to be in the best possible condition for the pre-season schedule, Elliott enjoyed an impressive tour of the United States under Slot. But the new Reds head coach has so far preferred Dominik Szoboszlai in his attacking midfield role and the in-form Hungarian has repaid that faith so far with two assists in three appearances against Ipswich, Brentford and Manchester United.
