season two follows the team and off-court talent in the period after their Finals success, between 1980 and 1984. Once again, the action centres on the professional and personal lives of the players who make up the legendary 1980s Los Angeles Lakers team.
We see Lakers star Magic Johnson clearly enjoying the fame and popularity that has followed his team's recent win, in a montage showing screaming fans, positive front-page press coverage and a hefty cashier's check. "Ain't nobody scared of Larry Bird," quips Johnson in the trailer, introducing the two players' well-known rivalry that's set to be centre stage in the second season.
