Emma Newman's life was cut short at just 22-years-old after she was hit by a lorry, being driven by Paul Mowat in the city centre, last January. Her mum has spoken out following his 'light sentence'.
The family of a young cyclist killed in a tragic crash have told of how there will never be any closure after the lorry driver who hit her escaped a jail sentence.

"We are comforted by the fact that this part is over but I don’t think there will ever be any closure for us. We have to live with the death of our daughter for the rest of our lives."
Paying tribute to her only-child, Rose added: "Emma was one of a kind. She was not only brilliant but also charming and compassionate.
