A Heat Advisory has been issued for all of North Texas with temperatures set to feel as high as 107 degrees

A Heat Advisory has been issued for all of North Texas. The advisory will remain in effect until 7 p.m. Friday for highs of 102 to 104 and a heat index as high as 105 to 107. Although it hasn’t yet been announced by the National Weather Service, it appears very likely that the Heat Advisory will be extended into Saturday as well.
The hot weather will last all through the weekend before a weak summertime cold front slips into the area Sunday night. The front may bring spotty thunderstorms Sunday night into Monday. In addition, temperatures will drop back to near normal levels in the low to mid 90s for a couple of days. In the meantime, be prepared for hot weather. Make sure you stay hydrated, check on the elderly, and take care of your pets.
