The Texans have needs at many positions entering this year's NFL draft. The Senior Bowl practices featured some prospects who could be intriguing options for Houston.
If he's available, Georgia Tech defensive lineman Keion White could be an intriguing option for the Texans at the top of the second round in this year's NFL draft.MOBILE, Ala. — The Senior Bowl this year, doesn’t quite have the same feel as it had in previous years. That’s probably because of the lack of top quarterbacks in this game. Of the top four quarterbacks in this draft, none are participating.But there were some standout players in Wednesday’s day 2 practice at other positions.
It’s unclear if White will fall to the second. A lot will be determined between now and the draft. But he would be great value there. White, who is 6-foot-5 and 286 pounds, showed a combination of strength and speed when he went up against offensive tackles in practice. He was dominant in one-on-one drills.
The quarterbacks at the Senior Bowl haven’t been great and Kelly took full advantage of it. He had an interception and a couple of pass deflections in Wednesday’s practice. Kelly is 6-1 and 193 pounds, so he has decent size for a cornerback.
